Ye Lynn Han

 Ye Lynn Han graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance
from Northern Arizona University and is currently a Graduate Assistant for opera at the same institution. Originally from Myanmar, Han officially began his classical voice training at NAU and is the first person from his country to pursue  a career in opera. His first major role was as Tamino in NAU’s production of Die Zauberflöte, and subsequently performed as Albert Herring
in NAU’s Benjamin Britten scenes, the priest in NAU’s production of The Light in the Piazza, as well as understudying for the role of Fabrizio in the same production. In his last semester of his undergrad, he performed the role of Rinuccio in NAU’s production of Gianni Schicchi. He has often performed as the tenor soloist for Handel’s Messiah. Last summer, he appeared as a soloist
for Varna International’s production of Così fan tutte, performing the leading tenor role of Ferrando. He was the recipient of the International Student Scholarship and Global Scholar Award for his undergraduate studies at NAU. In 2018 he received the Edgar Stone Vocal Scholarship Award, the Prescott Chorale Soloist Award, as well as the Metropolitan Council Auditions Encouragement Award. He is the recipient of the International Excellence Award to continue his graduate studies at NAU.
